Finally Home!

After being gone for 8 days, I couldn't wait to be back in Austin. Being gone that long is rough! I had to work one flight yesterday and the crew that I was working with ended up being the crew taking me home to Austin on the flight I was commuting on. This was a pure blessing because we were seriously late arriving into SLC from SFO due to weather in both locations. Luckily Paul, the Delta gate agent that I went to Paris with was working our Austin flight and let me pick my seat and board before everyone else. Two seats to my self and I got a little bit of rest. I was soo excited to be HOME! Josh and I were both in good moods. I think it really hit us for me to be gone that long is hard on us. We're just not used to it. But we had decided that I needed to work as much as  I could as a commuter for a few months to catch up financially. Commuting really cuts on the hours I'm able to work since it takes 3 hours each way to get to SLC and home to AUS.

Even better: Josh really helped out this time. It's been a transition for him to get used to getting up in the mornings and he's started working out with one of his friends at night. So I'm sure the last thing he wants to do is chores. But the last thing I want to do after working and picking up after people flight after flight is come home to pick up after him. BUT! He did towels why I was gone and vacuumed! And of course took care and M&A!!!

Last night we just hung out and ordered a pizza since I needed to work on my schedule. I got some good trips that even put me in Austin on Valentine's Day! Yea! And of course there is a special birthday on the 9th that I needed off for ;-)  Josh continued to pick up things for me, more towels, took out the trash, etc. It was nice to have the help!!! Loving it!!!

Unfortunately, I missed our anniversary since I was gone on a trip. But I had left his card and present hidden for him in the kitchen. I sent him a text that morning letting him know where it was.

It's a business card case from Things Remembered. I used to shop at that store all the time and thought this was the best place to get one. I really liked the black on the top. It was extremely hard to pick out the engraving though. He seemed to really like it though so I think I did well! At least he will be able to use it a lot with the new job position and the new contacts he will have.

Well today there's not a lot planned. I don't have to go back to SLC until Tuesday morning so yea! The only absolute thing we have is Josh's cousin's birthday this afternoon. I haven't seen everyone in a few weeks so I'm excited.

And other good news, Brittany and Ethan are coming the end of February! When I finish my trip on the 23rd I'm going to fly to MCI (this Missouri people's is the correct code for the Kansas City International Airport not KCI!!!) and meet them and help miss Brittany Lynn drive to Austin. It's a straight shot on I-35! That way Ethan can sleep in his pj's all the way there and we can really make the most of their time in Austin! Super Duper Excited!!!
